The Drawsko Lake is the second deepest lake in Poland and the biggest tourist attraction of the small town called Czaplinek. It is also the most popular water reservoir of the Drawsko Lakeland.
A bird’s-eye view of the lake reveals its unusual shape: it looks like a star tossed on the black velvet pillow. And it is a true star! It has its beauty, style and possibilities.
Many environmental factors determine the unique character of this place. Very important are emerald blue water and sandy beaches. Drawsko Lake offers excellent conditions not only for sailing, but also for other water sports. You can take part in kayaking on Drawa river. It is one of the most beautiful kayaking trails in Poland and it was named in honor of the Polish cardinal and Pope – Karol Wojtyła. You will be amazed by the changeability of the river and a wide variety of landscapes that you pass through. Another advantage of this region is its tasty cuisine.
The local delicacy is the Drahimski honey (this product is registered as a Protected Geographical Indication in EU).
Moreover, the lake abounds with fish. Smoked European whitefish from the Drawsko Lakeland entered into the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development’s List of Traditional Products. If you like spending time near the water and you enjoy local delicacies, the Drawsko Lake is waiting for you!
